Personal Flag held off favored Cryptoclearance to win the $142,000 Nassau County Handicap by three-quarters of a length at Belmont Park in Elmont, N.Y.
Talinum was third, another 3 1/2 lengths back.
It was the first victory in four starts this year for Personal Flag, who covered 1 1/8 miles on a fast track in 1:48 1/5. The 5-year-old son of Private Account earned $83,700 for owner Ogden Phipps and paid $10.20 to win.
