BRIEFLY . . .

Purely for those with strong stomachs, “Speed” is a movie which lives up to its title. One of the most popular Omnimax films ever produced, it is a film about going fast on land, sea and air. Instead of just showing things going fast, it puts the audience in the driver’s seat, a perfect concept for the Omnimax dome. From October 1984 to March 1985 more than 165,000 people viewed “Speed” at the Reuben H. Fleet Space Theater. An updated version of the film returns to the Fleet theater Friday with a new sound track and narration. Showtimes are 10:30 a.m., noon, 1:00, 2:30, 4:00, 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. daily. Admission is $4.50 for adults, $2.75 for seniors and $2.25 for juniors. Contact 238-1168 for more information.
