Celtics-Mavericks: What Might Have Been . . .

Here are some reasons I think Mike Downey is wrong to have wished for a Laker-Piston series:

--It would have been worth it to hear the Lakers’ excuses for losing.

--We wouldn’t have to watch those nauseating shots of Jack Nicholson that CBS insists on showing.

--A Boston-Dallas series would have featured teams from the home states of the Presidential candidates. We wouldn’t even have had to bother with the general election.
