Cooper LaserSonics Sells Unit to Multinational Firm

Cooper LaserSonics of Menlo Park, Calif., sold its surgical laser business to Heraeus Holding GmbH for $7.5 million, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Heraeus paid Cooper about $5.5 million for the division and plans to pay an additional $1.5 million after the post-closing audit.
