Arab Youth Dies From Beating

JERUSALEM — A 19-year-old youth from the Gaza Strip refugee camp of Jebaliya died overnight from wounds he suffered when beaten by Israel soldiers, Palestinian sources said today. The army confirmed that Hussein Jam’a Abu-Jallalah died but said said the circumstances and cause of death were not clear.
The death, attributed by Dr. Ahmed Yassih of Gaza City’s Shifa Hospital to beating by soldiers, would raise the number of Arabs killed in the 6-month-old Palestinian uprising to 202. Two Israelis have also died in the unrest in lands Israel seized in the 1967 Middle East War.
