Local News in Brief : Writers’ Talks Continue

Negotiators for the Writers Guild of America and movie and television production companies continued to meet late Monday night as a strike by Hollywood writers entered its 14th week.
Spokesmen for both sides declined to give details of the talks, which continued through the weekend.
Last Friday, top officers from eight studios--including Paramount Pictures, MCA and MGM/UA Communications--had urged negotiating teams to continue meeting until a settlement is reached.
