The Thornton Family Trust has acquired 3.5 million common shares or 53.6% of Mitek Systems, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Trustees Sally Thornton and John Thornton of San Diego said the trust acquired the shares as an investment.
Mitek is also based in San Diego.
