Turks Impose Ban on Dancing Bears

ANKARA, Turkey — This country has banned dancing bears because the entertainment is inhumane, Tourism Minister Tinaz Titiz announced.
“The ‘dancing’ is just an act of pain on the bear’s part,” Titiz said Friday in a circular ending the tourist-oriented Gypsy street shows.
