Dukakis’ Appearance in Orange County

It is hard enough being a Democrat in Orange County without your own party treating you shabbily.
The recent Dukakis rally at the University Club at UC Irvine was obviously intended for a select few of the inner party, while us peons stood outside in the dark for three hours.
Instead of choosing a facility that could accommodate everyone, a ridiculously small one was picked for the only Orange County appearance of Gov. Michael S. Dukakis.
The arrogance of the Dukakis organizers was only matched by its leader, Gov. Dukakis. To “leisurely” tour the Beckman Laser Institute while people have been waiting for hours is a slap in the face to Orange County.
