Writers’ Attacks on Gil Ferguson
How coincidental that the three nasty anti-Ferguson letters you printed May 15 contain the same tired slander used by Evelyn Hart to bolster her dismal chances of defeating the incumbent assemblyman and Republican leader.
That being the case, I suppose it does help Hart to have others apparently front for her--and The Times is only too eager to oblige.
Two of the letter writers are registered as Democrats and won’t be voting in the Republican primary. The third isn’t registered at all.
I guess that doesn’t matter to Hart since her purpose is served as long as Gil Ferguson is raked with lies and innuendo. But it should matter to The Times.
Is this the kind of supporters in the Hart camp? I suppose we shouldn’t be surprised since Hart has made no secret of her belief that her own personal ambition comes before the Republican quest for a majority in the Assembly before the next reapportionment.
