China Moves to Ban Black Market Cigarettes

BEIJING — In a bid to stamp out a flourishing black market in foreign cigarettes, China will ban the sale of all imported cigarettes not marketed by the China National Tobacco Corp., the official New China News Agency said Sunday.
Cigarettes smuggled into the country from Hong Kong aboard fishing boats have become a major contraband item.
