City officials have created a 24-hour information and referral line for all types of social services available in Orange County.
The telephone number, (714) 497-9696, is answered by trained social service personnel, who treat all calls as confidential, a city spokesman said. They are familiar with services available to every age group, the spokesman said.
The service is administered by the city’s recreation and social services department and operated by C.S.P. Inc. A spokesman said a wallet-size card giving information and the help-line phone number are available at the department’s office.
