BERKELEY, Calif. — The California Golden Bears will open next basketball season at the Great Alaskan Shootout, where the field also will include defending NCAA champion Kansas.
“This is probably the best schedule Cal has played in many years,” Coach Lou Campanelli said after it was announced Thursday.
After playing in the Nov. 25-27 tournament at Anchorage, Cal will return home to play Grambling on Nov. 30. Other early season home games will include Villanova on Dec. 10.
