Rohr Industries reported Tuesday that net income rose to $8.5 million during the third quarter ended May 1, up from $2.8 million during the previous third quarter. Rohr reported $230 million in revenue for the quarter, up from $150 million during the like quarter a year ago.

Rohr’s fiscal 1987 income and revenue figures were adversely affected by a two-week labor strike.

Rohr reported $8.5 million in net income for the nine-month period ended May 1, contrasted with $2.8 million during the like period a year ago. The Chula Vista-based aerospace products manufacturer reported $653 million in revenue for the nine-month period, contrasted with $463 million a year ago.
