John R. Wise was named chairman of Mortgage Investments Plus, a real estate investment trust based in Woodland Hills. Wise succeeds John W. Creighton Jr., who became president and chief operating officer of Weyerhaeuser Co. on April 21. Weyerhaeuser, the Tacoma, Wash, forest products concern, set up Mortgage Investments in 1985 and remains an adviser. Wise, 47, also is chairman of a Weyerhaeuser subsidiary, Republic Federal Savings & Loan in Woodland Hills.
