Chapman’s Walker Wins NCAA Singles Title

Miles Walker, a Chapman College senior, won the NCAA Division II national title in singles Sunday, defeating George Zink of Southern Illinois of Edwardsville, 7-5, 6-2, in the final at Sonoma State.
Walker, the top-seeded player, becomes the first Chapman player to win a singles title. Barry Hancock and Paul Wekesa combined to win the doubles title last season for Chapman.
