The Japanese department store chain Seibu bought a giant concert organ for $245,520 over the weekend. The sale price was the highest for such an instrument, Sotheby’s auction house in London has announced. And the organ itself, the size of a double-decker bus, was built in 1900 by French company Limonaire Freres as an exhibition piece for a Paris trade fair.
