Saputo, Perely Advance to Today’s Tennis Final

Lynn Saputo of Walnut Creek and Jim Perely of Coronado won in the semifinals of the Men’s 45 National Hard Court tennis championships Saturday at the Lindborg Racquet Club in Huntington Beach.

Saputo, the No. 3-seeded player, defeated No. 2 Billy Higgens of Yorba Linda, 7-3, 6-3. Perely, the No. 1-seeded player, defeated No. 7 Jeff Schubert of Phoenix, 4-6, 6-2, 6-4. The final is today at 11 a.m.
