Speedboat rides will be another attraction for visitors to Avalon. The City Council approved an operating permit for the service, to be run by Frank Wouters of Avalon. The 28-foot boat Sea Runner, designed to carry 30 passengers at up to 45 m.p.h., will operate all year from Avalon Harbor.
