American Telephone & Telegraph Co.’s sales of computers are on the rise, ending more than a year of stagnant or declining sales, the new president of AT&T;’s Data Systems Group said in San Francisco. Robert Kavner said the group’s sales were “growing dramatically” and that the business was ahead of its financial plan for 1988. He also reiterated that the group would begin to earn a profit in 1990.
