Santa Ana Wins Wild-Card Softball Game, 3-1

Santa Ana High School defeated Savanna, 3-1, in a Southern Section 3-A wild-card softball game Wednesday at Santa Ana.
Natalie Sanchez (15-4-1) gave up 8 hits in 7 innings for Santa Ana. She also scored two runs.
Sanchez and Marcia Martinez scored in the first inning on Gracie Lopez’s single. Sanchez scored in the third inning on Louise Lee’s fielder’s choice.
Savanna, the third-place team in the Orange League, finishes with a 14-12 record. Santa Ana (15-6-1) will play at Culver City in Friday’s first-round game.
