‘Little Coterie’ on School Board

Regarding Carol Perotti’s letter in the May 12 San Gabriel Valley section on meetings of the West Covina school board:
Welcome to the club, Carol. . . . We have the same thing here in South Pasadena.
I don’t know about the West Covina school board members, but we have had a little coterie of the same people since we have lived here the past 15 years. One board member wields so much power that she pretty much dictates what will be done, and the majority sides right in with her.
Carol, your statement, “Joe Mount, the president of the board, made it clear last month that the input of the community was a waste of time,” is not only the consensus of our school board, but of the City Council as well!
