Mike Knutson, a two-year starter on the offensive line for San Diego State, was cut by the New Orleans Saints, one day after the team announced he had signed a free-agent contract.
Knutson (6-feet 5-inches, 255 pounds), who is from Esperanza High School in Anaheim, was one of three members of the 1987 SDSU team in the Saints’ minicamp.
Remaining in the camp, which concludes Saturday, are cornerback Clarence Nunn and quarterback Todd Santos.
