Honeywell’s residential division said it will eliminate about 200 manufacturing jobs at its Gardena assembly plant beginning next year. The company said it is shifting the residential heating and air-conditioning equipment manufacturing now done in Gardena to its Tijuana plant. The shift is expected to take three years. The company also said that the automated die case, machining operations, parts manufacturing and administrative support units, which employ a total of about 450 workers, will remain in Gardena.
