Marshall Adair, the Saddleback College baseball coach the past three seasons, will not be rehired, Saddleback athletic director Bill Otta said Monday in a prepared statement.
A replacement is expected to be named later this week.
Adair is a full-time teacher at Capistrano Valley High School. He was a part-time coach at Saddleback. Adair also was an assistant at Saddleback for seven seasons before becoming the coach in 1986.
The Gauchos were 18-23 this season and 46-66 in Adair’s three seasons.
