Noble Broadcast Group signed agreements Monday to buy its 16th and 17th radio stations for $16 million, acquisitions that will make it the “largest major radio broadcaster” in the nation in stations owned, President John Lynch said.
In a prepared statement, Noble said it is buying KMGI-FM and KIXI-AM in Seattle from Sunbelt Communications of Washington, D.C.
Last month, San Diego-based Noble bought three stations in two separate deals, including KMJQ-FM of Houston from Keymarket Communications of North Augusta, S.C. for $65 million, the highest price ever paid for a single U.S. radio station.
