Northridge Trio Win Honors as All-Americans

Cal State Northridge softball players Beth Onestinghel, Debbie Dickmann and Lisa Martin have been selected to the NCAA Division II All-American first team.
Onestinghel, a senior outfielder, batted .386 and had 2 home runs and 45 runs batted in. She also hit a school-record 14 triples.
Dickmann, a sophomore pitcher and repeat first-team selection, was 23-3 with an 0.27 earned-run average and 16 shutouts.
Martin, a senior pitcher-designated hitter, was 14-2 with an 0.35 ERA and 10 shutouts. She batted .409 and had 20 steals.
The top-ranked and defending national champion Lady Matadors (52-11) will attempt to win their fifth title in seven years when they play Lock Haven State (Pa.) tonight in the Division II Final Four in Sacramento.
