Two cars and a school bus collided at an Altadena intersection today, causing minor injuries to 16 children and five adults, authorities said. The students were kindergartners and third-graders on a field trip from St. Elizabeth Catholic School.
Seven students, ages 6 to 9, were treated for “very minor” injuries at St. Luke’s Hospital and released, spokeswoman Sue McPherson said. Nine students and five adults were sent to Huntington Memorial Hospital where all were in good and stable condition. Four ambulances and two California Highway Patrol cars were sent to the scene of the 9:18 a.m. accident.
