Charles Pollock; Abstract Painter, Teacher
Charles Pollock, 86, an abstract painter and art teacher whose students included his younger brother, Jackson. Charles Pollock used geometric patterns in zones of color to achieve his abstract shapes. Pollock taught for many years at Michigan State University after studying at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles. He retired in 1967 and moved to Paris where his wife was working for a publishing house. In Paris on Sunday following a stroke.
