The Otis Art Institute of Parsons School of Design held its 32nd annual commencement Wednesday in MacArthur Park. Degrees were conferred on 122 students, including 115 bachelor of fine arts degrees and seven masters of fine arts degrees.
Keynote Speaker: Kurt W. Forster, architectural historian, said: “The state of the arts in a city is only as good as its artists, designers and architects. Works of art and buildings may seem to disappear in the vastness of the city, but the city, in turn, fades into background whenever we stop in the presence of a work of the imagination.”
Honorary Degrees:
Forster.
Cliff May, architect.
Ed Ruscha, painter.
