Butterfield’s 3 RBIs Propel Cal Poly Pomona by Chapman

Chris Butterfield had three runs batted in, leading Cal Poly Pomona to an 11-7 victory over Chapman College Tuesday in a California Collegiate Athletic Assn. baseball game at Pomona.
Butterfield had two hits, including a home run, and scored three runs. Bill Beeman had three hits and an RBI for Pomona (29-20, 17-9).
Dave Barry pitched 7 innings for the victory. Barry (4-3) struck out one, walked three and gave up five runs.
Mike Grahovac had three hits, including a home run, and three RBIs for Chapman (25-26-1, 14-15). Teammate Wendell Harris also had three hits and a solo homer.
David Byrd (7-6) pitched three innings, giving up five runs, and took the loss.
