ABC is expected to announce today that it has hired Dick Vermeil, former UCLA and Philadelphia Eagle coach, as a college football analyst, replacing Lynn Swann, who will become a halftime reporter on “Monday Night Football” telecasts. Vermeil previously worked for CBS.
