Stripers Biting at Silverwood

Striped bass fishing at Lake Silverwood in San Bernardino County is as good as it gets, according to a spokeswoman at the landing, and several anglers this week backed up her statement.
Greg Silks of Alta Loma needed slightly more than an hour recently to catch four stripers, all weighing more than 20 pounds with the largest 31. Mike Southerland of Fontana and Max Moore of Apple Valley each caught stripers weighing 30 pounds.
