Trucker With Beer Keg in Cab Held After Crash

VISALIA, Calif. — A man who was driving with a half-keg of beer in the back of his truck cab--and a hose running from the keg to the driver’s seat--was arrested after he ran a stop sign and smashed into a car, Visalia police said Tuesday.
Terry Wayne Bates, 22, of Tulare, was treated for minor injuries and booked for investigation of driving under the influence of alcohol, officers said. The other driver was unhurt.
