Flamemaster Earnings Fall 22%; Revenue Nearly Flat

Flamemaster reported a 22% drop in fiscal second-quarter earnings and a 1% decline in revenue contrasted with a year earlier.
Flamemaster, a Sun Valley maker of flame-retardant coatings and seals, said net income during the quarter that ended March 31 fell to $91,507, or 6 cents a share, from $117,200, or 8 cents a share, a year earlier. Revenue slipped to $1.40 million from $1.42 million.
For the first half of its fiscal year, Flamemaster’s profit dropped 39% to $116,370, or 7 cents a share, from $191,522, or 12 cents a share, in the comparable period a year ago. Six-month revenue fell 11% to $2.45 million from $2.75 million.
