“Rambo III” and “Crocodile Dundee II” go eyeball to eyeball May 25. And the mouth-to-mouth battle has begun, with “Rambo III” unloading first.
About 100 press people gathered in NYC last weekend to talk with stars Sly Stallone and Richard Crenna and exec producer Andy Vajna.
Sly’s also filmed a Barbara Walters interview at his house and taped an Oprah Winfrey show. Then “Good Morning America” for both Sly and Crenna, who also chatted with “Entertainment Tonight.” Plus a Larry King interview. Plus a “Rambo III” location piece in Premiere, and Rambo-creating author David Morrell writes about “Rambo and Me” for Playboy.
Playboy also has “Croc II” star Paul Hogan for its July interview, following his June profile in Ladies Home Journal. He’ll also schmooze with Walters (the Sly/Hogan/Patrick Swayze interviews air Wednesday) and chat with King. Plus an L.A. press junket Friday and Saturday.Premiere looks at Hogan manager and “Croc” producer/director John Cornell.
A Paramount rep didn’t want to reveal any more about Hogan’s plans, explaining, “It’s not our policy to give out a publicity agenda. Besides, we’d like some things to be a surprise.”
