La Quinta’s Wilson Signs With Arizona

Mike Wilson, a senior right-handed pitcher for La Quinta High School, signed a national letter of intent to attend the University of Arizona next fall, Dave Demarest, La Quinta baseball coach, said Friday.

Wilson is 10-1 with 82 strikeouts this season. His only loss was to Marina in nine innings. Wilson, who was 13-2 as a junior, was also being recruited by Loyola Marymount and Cal State Fullerton.
