ProServ, the Washington-based sports management firm being sued for $25 million by Ivan Lendl, issued a denial of Lendl’s claims that they mismanaged his career.

“The allegations contained in this most recent lawsuit are based on claims that simply are not true, making the allegations themselves completely baseless,” the statement said. “ProServ denies the validity of all the allegations enumerated in the complaint and contends that the claim filed in Connecticut by Lendl and his attorneys is laden with gross factual inaccuracies, misleading innuendoes and damaging statements.”

Lendl, the world’s top-ranked tennis player, ended his seven-year relationship with ProServ last year, and ProServ responded by filing a suit against him for breach of contract. Lendl filed a countersuit Thursday.
