6 S.D. Lawyers Honored for Service

The San Diego County Bar Assn. on Friday honored six local attorneys for their service to the community and the legal profession.
Assistant U.S. Atty. Maria Arroyo-Tabin was honored for outstanding public service; Carol Hallstrom, program director of the San Diego Law Center, was recognized for dedication to legal education and Helen Rowe, with the firm Rowe, McEwen, Konold & Rowe, was honored for service to the legal profession.
Also winning an award was Patrick Sullivan of the firm King & Ballow, for service to the county Bar Assn. Two attorneys--Jim Mulvaney of Mulvaney & Kahan and Paul Engstrand, senior partner with Jennings, Engstrand & Henrikson, were cited jointly for outstanding community service.
The awards were presented as part of Law Week at a luncheon featuring a speech by California Supreme Court Justice John Arguelles.
