Local News in Brief : Coto de Caza : Suit Filed to Invalidate County-Developer Pact
- Share via
A community resident filed suit Friday to overturn a developer agreement approved by the Board of Supervisors in April that would prevent changes in present zoning and land-use plans for 20 years.
Jake W. Pivaroff filed the suit as an individual. He charges that county supervisors violated numerous state statutes in approving the agreement with Coto de Caza Ltd., the developer of the community.
In return for approval of the agreement, the developer must help finance road improvement projects in congested south Orange County.
The lawsuit, filed in Orange County Superior Court in Santa Ana, is the ninth in recent months seeking to reverse agreements reached between the supervisors and the various development firms in the county.
