Regarding Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor’s ignoring the First Amendment’s guarantee of free exercise of religion. (“Break With the Past,” editorial, April 22):

Not surprising: She’s a Reagan appointee, isn’t she? A disgrace to the court appointed by a disgrace to the presidency. What else would one expect?
