A San Diego man was sentenced Thursday to 29 years and eight months in state prison for sexually assaulting two San Diego State women.
Karl Eugene Fairmann, 28, was given the term by San Diego Municipal Judge Melinda Lasater, acting as a Superior Court judge.
Fairmann was convicted of forcible oral copulation, two counts of assault with intent to commit rape, assault with a deadly weapon and burglary March 31 after a jury trial. He was also convicted of committing the crimes at knifepoint.
The incident occurred in late August, 1987, in the 6900 block of Alvarado Road.
