The Orange County coroner’s office asked for the public’s help in identifying a pedestrian who was fatally injured in Fountain Valley.
Supervising Deputy Coroner Rick Plows said Thursday that the victim, a male Latino about 35 years old, was struck by a car Sunday night at 8:42 p.m. as he walked across Harbor Boulevard north of Verbena Court.
The man was taken to Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center, where he died at 8:20 a.m. Thursday.
“He was carrying an amnesty form, but it wasn’t filled out,” Plows said. “He had no identification on him.”
Plows described the man as being about 5 feet, 2 inches tall, with brown hair and brown eyes and a mustache. The victim was wearing blue jeans, a blue-and-green plaid Western-style shirt with snap buttons, and a red, white and blue tank-top shirt underneath. He also wore black leather boots.
Plows asked anyone with information about the man to call the coroner’s office at (714) 647-7400.
