The New York law firm of Debevoise & Plimpton has announced that it plans to open an office in downtown Los Angeles in the fall of 1988. Richard Goodyear, former vice president, general counsel and secretary of Chrysler, will join the office as a partner. Robert King, a partner in the firm’s New York office, also will join the Los Angeles office.
