Cal Lutheran to Play Host to District Softball Playoffs

Cal Lutheran, which won its first Golden State Athletic Conference softball title this season, will play host to the NAIA District 3 playoffs Friday and Saturday.
Cal Lutheran (28-13, 16-3 in district play), the top-ranked team in the district, plays The Master’s College, ranked fourth, at 1 p.m. Friday.
Cal Baptist (22-22, 13-7), ranked second, plays third-ranked Azusa Pacific (14-15, 11-9) in Friday’s other first-round game.
The winner of the double-elimination tournament plays District 7 champion Southern Utah State on May 13-14 in Cedar City, Utah. The winner earns a berth in the NAIA championships May 19-21 in Oklahoma City.
