Three suspected burglars broke into a Hawaiian Gardens home Monday, stole $38,000 and then jumped out the windows of the house--right into custody, sheriff’s deputies said.
When deputies drove up to the home to investigate a burglary about 11 a.m., they saw the three men jumping out of separate windows, Deputy Eric Smith said.
Deputies chased the men and captured two suspects, Gustavo Sanchez, 19, and Manuel Real, 20, about a block and a half away, Smith said. The third suspect, a 16-year-old youth, was arrested at his home a short time later.
Deputies found $38,000 cash that apparently had been taken from the home, as well as a gun and several pieces of jewelry, Smith said.
