U.S.-Soviet grain talks in London this week...

U.S.-Soviet grain talks in London this week will bring the superpowers closer to signing a multibillion-dollar pact that could give American farmers a larger share of the biggest grain market in the world. The end result of the high-stake talks could be an agreement that allows Moscow to buy a wider variety of U.S. crops, while giving specific minimum purchase guarantees to the United States, U.S. officials said. “This meeting will be very substantive. We’ll get into the issues,” a member of the U.S. negotiating team said of the talks to be held Tuesday and Wednesday.
