Lorillard Inc., New York, announced the sale of its chewing tobacco and little cigar brands to the National Tobacco Co. for about $67.5 million. Included in the sale are Lorillard’s manufacturing facility in Louisville, Ky., and storage facilities in Wisconsin. Specific brands included in the sale are Beech-Nut, Beech-Nut Wintergreen, Big Red and Havana Blossom chewing tobaccos, and Erik, Madison, Between the Acts and Omega little cigars. Lorillard is a unit of Loews Corp., which is also based in New York.
