Brierley Investments Ltd., New Zealand, parent of Industrial Equity (Pacific) Ltd., Hong Kong, agreed to sell Union Special Corp. to Juki Corp., Tokyo, after Industrial Equity completes its acquisition of Union Special. Under the agreement in principle, Juki will pay Industrial Equity $32 for each Union Special share and an additional $1.1 million to cover expenses, according to a filing. Industrial Equity has extended its offer for all of Union Special’s common shares to May 2, according to the filing. Juki makes sewing machines and other products. Union Special, Chicago, manufactures industrial sewing machines.
