Thousand Oaks’ Tanner to Attend Oregon State

Thousand Oaks center Barbara Tanner has signed a letter of intent to attend Oregon State on a full-ride basketball scholarship.
Tanner averaged 15.7 points and 10 rebounds in leading the Lancers to a 12-0 Marmonte League record, a 25-4 overall mark and a berth in the Southern Section 4-A quarterfinals, the team’s best season in school history.
“The coaching staff up there was what I was really impressed with,” said Tanner, the Marmonte League Player of the Year and All-Ventura County first-team selection. “I’ll have a chance to develop to my fullest potential.”
Tanner has narrowed her choice of major to art, music or physical education.
